Promotions

Create discounts and coupon codes to reward customers. Apply them at the order or billing stage to adjust the total.

Overview

The Promotions module lets you create two types of offers: Discounts and Coupons. Discounts are internal promotions you can apply manually. Coupons are codes customers can use to get a discount.

Discounts

Discounts are predefined offers that staff can apply to an order. You control the type, value, validity period, and usage limits.

How to Create a Discount

Go to Discounts
From the sidebar, click Discounts. You will see the list of existing discounts.
Add Discount
Click "Add Discount". Enter a name, choose the type (Percentage or Fixed), and enter the value.
Set Conditions (Optional)
You can set a minimum order amount, maximum discount amount, validity dates, and usage limits. Leave these blank for no restrictions.
Save
Click Save. The discount is available for staff to apply on orders.

Coupons

Coupons are discount codes that customers can use. Each coupon has a unique code that can be entered at the POS or billing stage.

How to Create a Coupon

Go to Coupons
From the sidebar, click Coupons.
Add Coupon
Click "Add Coupon". Enter a unique code (e.g., WELCOME10), a name, choose the type, and set the value.
Set Rules
Set minimum order amount, maximum discount, validity dates, and maximum uses. These rules are checked when the coupon is applied.
Save
Click Save. Share the code with your customers so they can use it.

Applying Promotions

  • At Order Stage — In the Touch POS, click "Apply Discount" to select a discount or "Apply Coupon" to enter a code. The discount is applied to the order total.
  • At Billing Stage — When generating a bill, you can apply a discount on the bill total. Coupons can also be entered during billing.

Discount based on a percentage of the order total (e.g., 10% off).
Fixed
Fixed amount discount (e.g., ₹100 off).
