Getting Started with Restaurant
This guide walks you through setting up the Restaurant app: adding your branch, arranging tables, building your menu, and taking your first order.
Step-by-Step Setup
Open the Restaurant App
From the App Launcher or dashboard, select Restaurant. You will see the main dashboard with key metrics and quick links to all sections.
Add Your Branch
Go to Branches and click "Add Branch". Enter your restaurant name, address, phone, and select the timezone. Set it as primary if this is your main outlet. You can add more branches later.
Create Floors and Sections
Go to Tables and open the Floor Plan. Add floors (e.g., Ground Floor, Terrace) and optional sections (e.g., Window, Bar, Outdoor). Sections help organise tables by area.
Add Your Tables
Add tables to each floor. Enter the table number, name, capacity, and shape (square, round, rectangular, booth). Drag tables on the floor plan to arrange them as they appear in your restaurant.
Build Your Menu
Go to Menu and add categories first (e.g., Appetisers, Main Course, Desserts, Beverages). Then add items under each category. Set prices, mark veg/non-veg, and upload images if desired.
Take Your First Order
Go to Touch POS. Select an order type (Dine-in, Takeaway, or Counter). For dine-in, select a table. Add items to the cart, review the total, and place the order. The kitchen ticket (KOT) will print if configured.
Tip: Start with a single branch and a few menu items. Once you are comfortable with the workflow, expand to more branches and add the full menu. You can also configure KOT auto-printing in Settings.
